BTT-BA 2K floor coating for outdoor use

Our outdoor floor coating, the BTT-BA, is a 2-component epoxy resin that our customers use to achieve fantastic results on their balconies, terraces, carports and other outdoor surfaces. After successful processing, the surface is hard and abrasion-resistant. You also benefit from a simple processing flow. There are no unpleasant odors during processing because the material is solvent-free. If cured residues remain after processing, they can be disposed of with normal household waste, since the epoxy resin is not hazardous waste. Benefit from the practical benefits as well as from the upgrading optics.

For a new floor coating, we recommend applying 2 layers, each with 250g/m².

When refreshing a coating, it is sufficient to calculate with 200g/m².

Processing instructions

The processing and curing times of the 2k epoxy resin vary with temperature. The temperature should never fall below 6°C, otherwise the reaction of the resin will stop. but as soon as the temperature rises again, the reaction will start again.

We therefore recommend processing temperatures between 10°C - 30°C.

If processing takes too long, the coating may become viscous and begin to solidify.

  • We expressly recommend not combining our products with products from other manufacturers. We have all products in stock that are required for a floor coating. We cannot give any advice and assume no liability for any complications that may arise due to the use of third-party products!
  • In the case of colored coatings from different batches, a color deviation cannot be ruled out. We therefore ask you to order the required quantity in full and not to split it up into several orders at different times.
  • Colors are displayed differently on each monitor. To make sure that it is the color you want, please take a RAL color chart and match the colour.
  • We expressly recommend applying the coating in two consecutive layers. The consumption with this method is a total of 0.5 kg per square meter.
  • A time interval of at least 24 hours must be observed between the individual layers
  • The epoxy resin must not come into contact with water, chemicals or plasticizers before chemical hardening occurs, as the hardener can react with them in the non-hardened state. There is a risk of white streaks, chalking and damage.
  • Epoxy resin reacts to UV radiation and will yellow easily if exposed before the chemical cure time is complete.
  • We recommend every customer to carry out a soil moisture measurement before starting the project. The soil moisture must not be higher than 30%. If this value is exceeded, no complication-free processing is guaranteed.
  • With light-colored coatings that are applied to dark-colored substrates, it can happen that these only fully cover after several coats of paint.
